Among them, a fountain designed by architect Manuel Marques, inaugurated in 1931, stands out as a point of artistic and architectural interest. Further along, in the extension of these green spaces, is the statue of the poet Luís de Camões. The creation and refurbishment of these gardens are part of a process of valorizing Porto's seafront, which occurred at the beginning of the 20th century, transforming the area into a space for leisure and enjoyment of the sea.
