It is part of the vast complex of the Jardins do Palácio de Cristal (Crystal Palace Gardens), situated near the Casa do Roseiral. Its layout offers observation points that open up to the Douro River horizon, providing a perspective of the city's fluvial landscape.

A Sculptural Legacy

This garden houses a collection of artistic and architectural elements with a peculiar history. Pieces such as the Pelican Fountain, the Putti and Goose Fountain, and various decorative ornaments, including a pediment with the city's coat of arms, come from an 18th-century building, the former Palacete Monteiro Moreira. This mansion, which once served as the headquarters of the Porto City Council, was later demolished, but its elements were preserved and integrated into this space, giving it a unique character and a connection to Porto's past.
