Located in a bustling area of the city, with easy access to public transport and well served by shops, restaurants and cafes.
The square where the fountain is located was dedicated to the Galician poet Rosália de Castro, as a symbol of friendship between Porto and Galicia. The fountain includes a pink granite sculpture in her honor.
Close to emblematic places such as the Palácio de Cristal (Crystal Palace). Ideal for a short break during a city tour, although it is not a place for long stays.
Despite the small green area and the existence of benches for rest, the intense traffic and constant movement take away the tranquility of the space.
At the end of the day or at night, the environment becomes more pleasant, especially when the lighting enhances the sculpture and the fountain.
