Maninhos Urban Park is located in the Mogos urbanization, in the locality of Vermoim, within the municipality of Maia. This green space, spanning over 8,000 square meters, is situated on the left bank of the Mogos stream. Its predominantly residential setting offers an accessible natural refuge, integrated into the urban landscape.

A Space for Active Fun

This park was designed to provide dynamic leisure moments for visitors of all ages. For the younger ones, the circular mounds stand out, designed for climbing and adventure. There are also tubular slides with distinct curves and translucent rings, ending in sandpits, and ropes for climbing, challenging energy and creativity. Adults will find an outdoor gym, inviting them to regular physical exercise in contact with nature. There is also a large informal flat area, ideal for recreational activities and various games.

The Stream's Biodiversity

One of the fundamental principles of Maninhos Urban Park is the valorization and maintenance of its riparian gallery, the vegetation that accompanies the stream. The landscaping project prioritized indigenous plants and trees, i.e., native to the region. This choice aims for their adaptability to local climatic conditions and the promotion of the riparian ecosystem's biodiversity. It is possible to observe examples of large willows, as well as alders and ash trees, typical species of Portuguese flora.

Paths and Tranquil Environment

In addition to the areas dedicated to activity, the park offers a network of pedestrian paths that invite relaxing strolls. It is a place where one can enjoy a tranquil environment, away from the hustle and bustle, and appreciate the terrain modeling that gives the space a distinct morphology and visual interest. There are also nooks with bench-walls, ideal for a break and for observing the landscape, making the park a pleasant place both for exercising and for moments of serenity and contemplation.
