The Gondomar Urban Park is located in the locality of Pedreira, in the Souto area, establishing itself as a central point in the municipality of Gondomar. Design and Environment

This green space was designed by architect Paulo Merlini, a native of Gondomar and internationally recognized. The project aimed to create a new urban ecological structure, with a total area of approximately 20,000 square meters. Environmental concern is visible in its ample permeable areas and the planting of over 800 trees, contributing to a fresher and more natural environment in the heart of the locality.

Recreational and Cultural Elements

The Gondomar Urban Park offers a diversity of amenities for its visitors. A prominent feature is an artificial lake, which brings serenity to the environment and complements the landscape. There are spaces dedicated to active leisure, such as a fitness trail and exercise equipment. For children, a play area is available, while pets have their own dog park. The park also includes an area for table games, encouraging socialization.

In the cultural domain, the park houses an open-air amphitheater. This space was designed to host events and presentations, with capacity to accommodate a significant audience, offering seating for approximately 250 people and standing room for 750. The park's integration with the urban space is evident through three multifunctional paved squares, totaling 1200 square meters, designed for various activities and to facilitate visitor flow and interaction.
