The Geão Urban Park is located in the town of Arco, municipality of Santo Tirso. This green space plays a connecting role in the urban fabric, uniting the eastern and western parts of the city, specifically the areas of Ponte Velha and Fontiscos. Its location follows the banks of the Sanguinhedo River, a watercourse whose banks have been the subject of recovery and landscape enhancement.

Size and Natural Environment

With an area of approximately 70,000 square meters, the Geão Urban Park constitutes a vast green area in the landscape of Santo Tirso. It was designed with special attention to environmental preservation and enhancement. Visitors can dedicate themselves to nature observation here, taking advantage of interpretive trails that invite a deeper understanding of the local ecosystem. The recovered banks of the Sanguinhedo River incorporate some natural amphitheatres, adding value to the landscape setting.

Trails and Outdoor Activities

This park offers various options for engaging in physical activities and moments of active leisure. It features approximately 1.5 kilometers of trails, ideal for walking and cycling. For the more active, there is a dedicated street workout area, and a space designed for wheeled sports, such as skateboarding, BMX, and inline skating, providing a suitable location for these disciplines.

Leisure and Artistic Expression

In addition to its natural and sporting facilities, the Geão Urban Park integrates elements that enrich the visitor experience. It is possible to discover a MIEC sculptural nucleus, which adds an artistic dimension to the park's environment. Families with children can enjoy a playground designed for the amusement of the little ones, making the park a suitable place for all ages and for moments of relaxation.
