Foundation and History

FEP was founded in 1953, marking the restoration of Economics studies in Porto. It is one of the oldest and most prestigious higher education institutions in Portugal in the areas of Economics, Management, and Finance.

Offered Courses

FEP offers Bachelor's degrees in Economics and Management, several Master's and Doctoral degrees, both independently and in collaboration with other faculties of the University of Porto.

Porto Business School

Part of the FEP faculty collaborates with the Porto Business School, a school dedicated to MBA and postgraduate programs.

Student Services

FEP provides a wide range of services, such as access to wireless networks, study areas, a library, and the SIGARRA digital platform, which facilitates access to academic materials and allows for better integration with new technologies.

Student Life and Organizations

There are several active student associations and groups at FEP, from student associations, choirs, academic tunas, to clubs such as the FEP Finance Club and FEP Junior Consulting, which allow students to participate in various extracurricular activities.

International Mobility

FEP has a strong international component, with more than 200 students in mobility programs every year, thanks to partnerships with universities around the world. Students can also participate in exchanges such as the ERASMUS Program.

Research and Development

In addition to being a teaching institution, FEP is a research center with a focus on the areas of Economics, Finance, and Artificial Intelligence, with projects funded by the FCT (Foundation for Science and Technology).
