Located in the parish of Lordelo do Ouro, in the city of Porto, Portugal.
Construction began in 1764, on top of a previous chapel. The church was completed in 1867, after several interruptions due to the French Invasions and the Siege of Porto.
The church was linked to the Royal Patronage, a system that regulated the administration of churches.
The patron saint, Saint Martin, is represented in a niche above the main entrance.
In 1888, the facade and towers were covered with tiles by the Fábrica de Cerâmica de Massarelos (Massarelos Ceramics Factory). The body of the church also received tiles in 1949 and underwent renovations in 1982.
The church is easily accessible, making it an interesting stop for those visiting the area.
