For many decades, this site was the stage for the former Praça de Touros of Póvoa de Varzim. Its importance to the community was recognized with the acquisition of the space by the Municipal Council in 1984, safeguarding its relevance in the local heritage.

Transformation and Future of the Space:

The site of the former Praça de Touros is being redefined. With demolition initiated in 2022, the location is being transformed to make way for a new multi-purpose facility. This project, which will retain the characteristic circular shape of the original construction, will have a diversified and modern vocation.
