It is located in Guifões, Matosinhos, over the Leça River, near Monte do Castelo.
Built in the Middle Ages, it was a three-arch stone bridge. The structure was damaged in floods in the 1970s, leaving the bridge in ruins.
Today, only parts of the old bridge remain, having been in ruins since the partial destruction. There has been no reconstruction.
It was considered a Property of Public Interest in 1971 due to its historical relevance.
Accessible via Rua do Monte Castelo, interesting for those who enjoy medieval history and archaeology.
