Amarante Golf Course is located in an urbanization of the same name, in the locality of Outeiro, belonging to the municipality of Amarante. More specifically, it is situated within Quinta da Deveza, in the parish of Fregim. This area provides a serene and natural setting, with an elevated position that invites observation of the surrounding landscape.

The Course and the Architecture

Opened in 1997, this course was designed by the Portuguese architect Jorge Santana da Silva. The project took advantage of the mountain topography, creating an 18-hole course that spans approximately 40 hectares. The design harmoniously integrates with the natural surroundings, seeking to highlight its intrinsic beauty and tranquility.

Landscape and Challenge

Situated at an altitude of approximately 600 meters, Amarante Golf Course offers a peculiar challenge to golf enthusiasts with its ups and downs. From various points on the course, it is possible to enjoy unobstructed views of the Marão and Aboboreira mountain ranges, as well as the waters of the Tâmega River. The grandeur of nature and the sense of calm emanating from this mountainous setting are distinctive elements of the location.
