The Church of the Savior is located in Freixo de Baixo, in the municipality of Amarante, Portugal.
The monastery associated with this church dates back to the late 11th century and was managed by the Canons of Saint Augustine.
The current church building dates from the 13th century, reflecting the Romanesque style of the time.
At the end of the Middle Ages, mural paintings were added to the interior walls of the church, which can still be seen.
