Created in the 18th century by architect Nicolau Nasoni for the Quinta da Prelada, where they served as decorative elements.
Made of granite, they are about six meters high and adorned with baroque details, such as volutes and a sculpted flame on top.
They were moved to the Passeio Alegre in 1937, when the original area in Quinta da Prelada was transformed.
Classified as a monument of public interest since 1938, they are a significant piece of Porto's historical and architectural heritage.
