Located in Cete, in the municipality of Paredes, this chapel is part of the Romanesque Route of Vale do Sousa.
The Chapel and the Cross are classified as a Property of Public Interest, which highlights their historical and cultural value.
The chapel was built in the late 15th or early 16th century. Its architecture has similarities to the Monastery of São Pedro de Cete, especially in the coats of arms.
The interior of the chapel has only one nave, with a carved altar (carved in wood) and a slightly broken triumphal arch, supported by thin columns.
There is a lateral sacristy, whose door has a Manueline-style frame, a typical architectural detail of the time.
The pulpit is located outside, indicating that, in times of great pilgrimages, celebrations were held outdoors due to the high number of faithful.
The entrance is preceded by a classic-style galilee (porch), supported by Tuscan columns, giving a welcoming and imposing atmosphere to the entrance of the building.
