Located in Praça de Pedro Nunes, in the parish of Cedofeita, in the city of Porto.
Founded in 1836 as the National Lyceum of Porto, it has a long tradition of teaching in the city.
Originally known as the Lyceum of D. Manuel II, the name was changed after the establishment of the Republic in 1910, becoming known as the Lyceum of Rodrigues de Freitas.
