This 19th-century building, located on Travessa de São Carlos, is a typical example of bourgeois houses in Porto.
The facade is covered with decorative relief tiles in yellow and white tones, created at the famous Devesas ceramics factory.
The interior is remarkable for its stucco decorated ceilings and mural paintings, as well as the stained glass windows and an elegant wooden staircase.
It is located on a quiet street near the Igreja Evangélica do Mirante (Evangelical Church of Mirante) and accessible from main streets such as Rua Mártires da Liberdade (Martyrs of Liberty Street).
The building is vacant, but remains in the process of being classified as a Property of Municipal Interest.
