The chapel is located in Burgães, in the municipality of Santo Tirso, near the road that leads to the Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Assumption.
Founded in 1696 by the Brotherhood of Santa Cruz, the chapel is dedicated to Bom Jesus (Good Jesus) and is used for an annual pilgrimage that takes place on Pentecost Sunday.
The structure is simple, with a rectangular floor plan composed of three parts: nave, chancel, and sacristy. The chapel has a facade with a central portal, flanked by windows.
The space is decorated with gilded wood carvings, including altars dedicated to Saint Anthony and Saint Francis. The ceiling of the chancel features painted coffers, representing religious scenes.
The chapel is surrounded by a churchyard, a small landscaped area with trees, including olive trees, and a granite wall. There is also a stone cross, which enriches the environment.
Nearby, there is a space with tables and benches for picnics, ideal for those who want to enjoy nature.
In the grounds area, a fountain with a spout in the shape of a grotesque face provides fresh water, creating a pleasant space to rest.
