Located in the locality of Tramaga, municipality of Ponte de Sor. It is here, in an old water reservoir, that an artistic intervention celebrating this place and its characteristic elements can be found.
At the site where a water reservoir once stood, we now find an urban art intervention. This work uses the mosaic technique, created from traditional Portuguese tiles. These tiles, hand-painted with patterns evoking the 17th century, were broken and reused to compose the image of the Tramaga Water Mills themselves.
It is a way of blending the tradition of Portuguese tile art with a contemporary artistic approach, giving new life to an existing structure.
This artistic creation was designed to pay tribute to the emblematic Tramaga Water Mills. The objective is to highlight their importance to the local population and their value as a point of interest for visitors.
The mills are recognized for their unique architectural aspect and their connection to the region's history, factors that pique the curiosity of passers-by and inspire photographic documentation.
