This well is located right in the center of Seda, in the municipality of Alter do Chão, easily accessible on foot or by car.
It is a traditional well, for community use, which was once essential for supplying water to the local population.
The well has a circular stone structure, with benches integrated into the surrounding wall, which shows concern for social interaction and the rest of those who gathered there.
It still maintains the original iron wheel used to manually draw water, which allows us to understand how this type of infrastructure worked before the arrival of public networks.
The space that surrounds it maintains the tranquility and typical atmosphere of the villages of Alentejo, with low houses, olive trees and cobblestone paths.
Due to its simplicity and authenticity, it is a good place for a quick photograph that captures the rural and traditional spirit of the region.
Located next to the road, with space to park, it allows for a quick visit during a walk through the village.
