It is located in the parish of São João Baptista, in Castelo de Vide, Portalegre.

Description

A large funerary monument from the Neo-Chalcolithic period. It features imposing pillars, approximately 3.40 meters tall, although it is quite degraded, with the funerary chamber in ruins.

Access

Accessible via the EN 246, towards Alpalhão. After the railway station, turn left and park 175 meters from the small bridge. The monument is 100 meters from the road, on the right.

Importance

Classified as a Property of Public Interest, the dolmen is a significant historical site that attracts visitors interested in the archaeology of the region.

Surroundings

Situated in a rural area with pastures and oak trees, near the Ribeira de Nisa stream.
