Location

In Santiago Maior, in the municipality of Castelo de Vide, district of Portalegre.

Monument

It is an ancient megalithic tomb, with the bases of two pillars still visible.

Access

Follow the EN 246 towards Portalegre, turn right onto the road that leads to Póvoa and Meadas. After the bridge over the Ribeira de São João, turn left towards Monte do Cerejeiro. The dolmen is 200 meters west of the hill.

Classification

It has been a Property of Public Interest since 1997.

Located in a quiet, rural area, next to an oak tree and near the stream.

Originally funerary, now it is a point of historical interest.
