It is located in the parish of Santa Maria da Devesa, municipality of Castelo de Vide, in a rural area, on top of a hill, surrounded by fields and trees typical of the region.
To arrive, follow the road from Castelo de Vide towards Meada. After about 6 km, turn right and drive another 5 km to the site.
Prehistoric monument from the Neo-Chalcolithic period, between 4000 and 2000 BC.
Despite being partially destroyed, it is still possible to see some of the large stone blocks that formed the burial chamber.
It was used for funerary rituals and burials in the megalithic era.
Monument in ruins, with two visible pillars on site, classified as Property of Public Interest since 1997.
Ideal for those who enjoy ancient history and megalithic sites, in a natural and peaceful environment.
