Located in the parish of Reguengo, in the municipality of Portalegre, in the heart of Alto Alentejo.
The route to the waterfall is partly marked, but it becomes steep and slippery in the final stage. It requires good physical preparation and appropriate footwear. It is not recommended for people with reduced mobility.
Path with areas of varying difficulty. Initially easy, but the final descent to the base of the waterfall can be dangerous. There is a lack of support structures such as walkways or handrails.
Very beautiful surrounding landscape, with vegetation typical of the region and the constant sound of running water. Isolated place, ideal for those seeking peace and contact with nature.
Small, but with some charm. The amount of water can vary greatly depending on the time of year.
Absence of detailed information on site. The area could benefit from cleaning and better signage. The installation of a walkway, as in other waterfalls in the region, would be an asset.
Spring and early summer, when there is more flow and pleasant temperatures. Avoid very hot periods, as the route is demanding.
Visit recommended only to those looking for raw nature and prepared for more demanding trails. It is not a tourist spot with easy access or developed infrastructure.
