Built in the 18th century, after 1732, in marble.
Base with four steps and a column. At the top, there is a sphere with iron bars, formerly used to restrain criminals, and the figure of Justice.
It measures 6.50 meters.
Removed from the square in 1879 for construction work, it was taken to the Elvas Museum in 1903. In 1941, it was returned to its original location.
National Monument since 1910.
It is located in Praça da República, in Campo Maior.
