The Coffee Museum is located in Campo Maior, in the area designated as Nossa Senhora da Expectação. It is integrated into the village's surroundings, offering visitors a space dedicated to coffee culture within the Alentejo context.
At the Coffee Museum, the entire journey of coffee is explored, starting from the plant itself and following its cycle until it transforms into the bean we know. The museum displays different varieties of coffee plants and presents a collection of equipment that illustrates the evolution of technology associated with coffee.
It is possible to observe old grain processing machines, roasting equipment, grinders, and coffee preparation machines, which demonstrate the techniques and tools used over time in the preparation of this universal beverage.
Beyond the physical process, the museum delves into the historical and cultural dimension of coffee. It presents the history of its production in different regions of the world, exploring the geography that shaped its expansion. Special emphasis is placed on Portugal's relationship with the history of coffee.
The space also includes a bibliographic section, with books dedicated to the topic, and a reading area, allowing visitors to independently deepen their knowledge about the vast universe of coffee.
