This homage was decided by the Mayor of the time, dedicating the space to a notable figure born in Castelo de Vide.

Gonçalo Eanes de Abreu played a significant role in Portuguese history, being recognized as a member of the "Ala dos Namorados" (Wing of Lovers), one of the crucial military units in the decisive Battle of Aljubarrota, which took place in 1385. The garden thus serves as a reminder of his connection to the village and his contribution to the country's past.
