The main facade of the church faces a pedestrian street, while its left side opens onto this picturesque square.

The history of Santa Eulália Church dates back to the 14th or 15th centuries, when it was founded. The structure seen today was largely built in the 17th century, a result of architectural evolution spanning different eras. Over the centuries, the church has undergone various interventions, which shaped its current appearance and maintained it as a central point in the life of the community. Inscriptions carved on the exterior walls bear witness to significant repairs and the active participation of the local population in its preservation.

Architectural Style and Details

The architecture of Santa Eulália Church is an interesting convergence of Renaissance and Baroque styles, with a strong popular architectural influence. On the main facade, the portal stands out with its simple lines and a perfect arch, flanked by smooth pilasters, elements that harken back to the Renaissance period. The interior reveals a single nave, a choir loft, and a main chapel with a dome. The side altarpieces, adorned with volutes, counter-curved pediments, and winged angel heads, are clear examples of the Baroque exuberance that enriches the space.

Inside, visitors can observe the beauty of the triumphal arch, crafted from black and white marble, which introduces the main chapel. This, in turn, is crowned by a dome decorated with blue coffered paintings, allowing natural light to enter through a central lantern, illuminating the golden and floral details of the pendentives. The circular white marble pulpit, with its balustrade, is another eye-catching element, contributing to the artistic richness of the ensemble.
