- Located in the São Lourenço region, north of the city of Portalegre, in Portugal.
- Designated as a Monument of Municipal Interest as of 2022.
- Founded in 1570 with the authorization of Bishop D. André de Noronha, housing the friars of the Convent of Santo António da Ribeira de Nisa.
- Underwent several transformations over the years, including use as a tannery, wool mill, asylum-school for boys, Diocesan College and Mental Health Center, until it was abandoned.
- The convent enclosure, dating back to the 16th century, houses one of the historical properties of the Viscounts of Cidraes in Portalegre.
- The convent church originally had three altars dedicated to Santo António, Our Lady of Piety, and Our Lady of Carmel.
- A small side chapel displays a representation of friars mourning the death of Santo António.
