Located in a quiet rural area, surrounded by greenery and dirt roads, these ruins are in an open space, ideal for a peaceful stop during a walk through the region.
Although barely visible, the remains are proof that this area was inhabited during the Roman period. What remains are mainly stone wall bases, outlining what would have been a residential or agricultural structure.
The site is set in an open field, with a typically Alentejo landscape, flat, with some trees and low vegetation. A pleasant place for those who appreciate nature and tranquility.
There is no ticket office or fixed hours, making it possible to visit at any time of day. It is recommended to go with suitable footwear and water, especially in the warmer months.
Although there are not many visible structures, those interested in archeology or local history may appreciate the symbolism of the site and imagine what this space would have been like two thousand years ago.
There are no information panels or support infrastructure. It is a place still in a very simple state, with little tourist intervention.
