Near Barbacena, in the municipality of Elvas.
It is part of a prehistoric necropolis with dolmens of different sizes. The Anta do Torrão is the most significant.
Large funerary monument with eight stones still visible, although some have been moved. Part of the original structure can still be observed.
It dates from the Chalcolithic period and marks an important phase in the evolution of megalithic monuments. It probably served as a territorial reference.
It can be reached by the road between Barbacena and Santa Eulália, with a privileged view over the rural landscape.
Classified as a National Monument and part of a wider archaeological area.
