The Parque das Gerações Skatepark is located in São João do Estoril, within the area known as Quinta da Carreira, in the municipality of Cascais.
This location benefits from its proximity to the coastline, which can provide a pleasant atmosphere and a unique setting, especially at certain times of the day.
Opened in 2013, the Parque das Gerações Skatepark was conceived with the aim of being a central space for the practice of urban sports in the region. The initial project was authored by Francisco Lopez, a recognized figure in this area.
Considered one of the most important skateparks nationwide, Parque das Gerações has gained recognition in the European scene for its quality and configuration, becoming a reference point for practitioners from all over the country and even from abroad.
With a considerable area, the park features a diversity of practice zones, designed to accommodate various styles and skill levels. There are areas dedicated to "street skate", with obstacles such as curbs and handrails, and "transition" zones, which include bowls and ramps.
This configuration makes the space suitable for skateboarders, but also for those who use BMX, inline skates ("InLine") or quads, and scooters, offering challenges for everyone, from beginners to more experienced athletes.
One of the distinctive characteristics of Parque das Gerações is its atmosphere. It is a dynamic meeting point where practitioners of different ages and levels share the space and interact positively, creating an environment of mutual help and shared passion for urban sports.
This environment creates a strong community dynamic, making the park more than just a place for sports practice, but also a space for socializing and sharing, which occasionally serves as a venue for events and competitions.
