Situated on the Atlantic coast of Portugal, Praia Azul is located in the municipality of Torres Vedras, in the locality of Silveira. This oceanic beach is part of the area that gives it its name, the Praia Azul urbanisation. Its position offers direct contact with the vast expanse of the Atlantic Ocean, characterising it as a natural landmark in the region.

Extension and Coastal Landscape

Praia Azul is distinguished by its considerable sandy area, extending for about 1.1 kilometres. As one walks along the beach, the landscape transforms. In its northernmost area, near the cliff top, it is possible to observe a transition between some constructions and the beginning of the dune terrain. However, it is in the central and southern areas that the dune system gains greater prominence, assuming a leading role in the landscape, culminating at the mouth of the Sizandro River. This diversity creates a dynamic and visually interesting coastal environment.

This beach is a much-sought-after location for those who enjoy contact with the sea and the practice of water sports. Its natural conditions make it suitable for activities such as surfing, bodyboarding, kitesurfing, windsurfing, and diving. Distinctions and Environmental Quality

Praia Azul has received several awards that attest to its quality and sustainability. Among the distinctions awarded are the recognised Blue Flag, a symbol of environmental excellence and good usage conditions. Furthermore, the beach was honoured with the Gold Flag and the "Zero Pollution" classification, highlighting its commitment to preserving the natural environment. It is also an Accessible Beach, which means it has conditions to facilitate access for visitors with reduced mobility, making it an inclusive space.
