Dates from the 1st to the 6th centuries AD.
A place of great archaeological interest due to the ruins of an ancient Roman villa.
Fragments of construction materials such as tiles and amphorae. Stratifications of pavements in opus signinum (a type of Roman pavement). Ceramics and stone tools (flint) from the Bronze Age.
Virgílio Correia found the site in 1913.
New archaeological campaigns in 1973, led by Guilherme Cardoso, revealed a large number of artifacts.
Evidence of occupation from the Paleolithic to the Middle Ages, with several generations of agricultural use.
Evidence of an active community during the Roman era, contributing to the understanding of local history.
