The Pedrenais Urban Park is located within the urban fabric of the town of Pedernais, belonging to the municipality of Odivelas. More precisely, it is situated in the Pedrenais North area, with access via Rua Teófilo de Braga, in Bairro dos Pedrenais, Ramada. Its position in a residential area gives it the character of a community and proximity space for local inhabitants.
Inaugurated in July 2010, this urban park was designed to offer a green oasis in the urban environment. Covering an area of approximately 1,797 square meters, it functions as a welcoming garden where visitors can enjoy moments of tranquility and contact with nature, away from the daily hustle and bustle.
The park stands out for its selection of tree species, many of which are native or characteristic of the Portuguese Mediterranean landscape. During a visit, it is possible to observe specimens of cork oak, oak, carob tree, ash tree, and olive tree. These trees contribute to the botanical diversity of the space and create pleasant shaded areas, especially on warmer days.
In addition to its natural and aesthetic value, the Pedrenais Urban Park offers infrastructures dedicated to leisure and fun. A children's playground carefully integrated into the green space makes it particularly appealing to families, providing a safe and stimulating place for children to play. The fusion of the garden with the play areas fosters interaction and well-being for its visitors.
