Praia da Malhada is located on the coast of the municipality of Lourinhã, in Portugal, and is bathed by the waters of the Atlantic Ocean. This cove is integrated into the coastal area of the locality of Praia da Areia Branca, framed by cliffs that define its natural landscape and its relationship with the sea.
This beach is characterized by a sandy expanse of considerable size, offering space to enjoy the marine environment. In its northern portion, the landscape is punctuated by a rocky massif that, depending on the tide, may be completely submerged or visible. Further south, along the base of the cliff, a seawall is observed, contributing to the beach's conformation.
The main access to Praia da Malhada is via a staircase that descends through the cliff, located in the southern part. It is important to note that this cliff area is signposted due to its natural instability and potential for landslides. Alternatively, during low tide periods, it is possible to reach the sandy expanse by walking along the neighboring beach immediately to the south.
