Pestana Beloura Golf is nestled in the Quinta da Beloura area, in Sintra. This location benefits from a privileged natural setting, with the verdant foothills of the Sintra Mountains serving as a backdrop. Its position offers a tranquil and serene environment, away from urban hustle, yet conveniently integrated into the municipality of Sintra.
The design of this golf course is the work of American architect Rocky Roquemore. Opened in 1993, the 18-hole, Par 72 course was designed to provide a stimulating challenge, while ensuring a fluid and pleasant experience for those who play it. Its design includes areas dedicated to practice and improvement, such as the driving range, putting green, and areas for chipping and bunker play, elements that complement the game's complexity.
One of the most notable features of Pestana Beloura Golf is its landscape integration. Along the fairways and surroundings, more than 40,000 trees have been carefully planted, encompassing eucalyptus, oaks, pines, magnolias, and palm trees, along with various exotic species. This profusion of flora, combined with the strategic presence of several lakes and rivers bordering the course, creates a scenic backdrop of great beauty, where water and vegetation harmonize to define the course's ambiance.
