A New Vocation

The history of the Abóboda Urban Park is marked by a significant transformation. What was once a quarry, a place of intense stone extraction, was the subject of an ambitious rehabilitation project. This initiative resulted from the realization of a proposal from the Participatory Budget, known by the name Quarry in the Past, Leisure in the Future. The park is thus a testament to the ability to recover and give new life to spaces that once bore the marks of industrial activity, converting them into areas for public enjoyment.
