At the top, a balustraded parapet is adorned in the center by a pediment displaying the coat of arms of the Viscounts of Loures, a detail that underscores its rich ancestry.

Since 1875, Palacete Loures has housed the Grémio Literário (Literary Guild), a culturally significant institution that has added substantial heritage value to the building. This association has enriched its interiors with a vast and diverse artistic, bibliographic, and documentary collection, reflecting the remarkable cultural experiences generated there. The site is a testament to historical moments and literary gatherings, having even been mentioned in works by authors such as Eça de Queiroz, cementing its role in the city's collective memory.
