Alameda da Encarnação Garden is located in the heart of the Encarnação Neighborhood, a residential area in Olivais, Lisbon. This green space occupies the central axis of an avenue that stretches from Rua da Encarnação to the Church of Santo Eugénio, serving as a green lung and a community landmark in the eastern part of the city.
With an area of approximately 10,000 square meters, this garden offers a considerable space for those seeking a moment of tranquility in the city. The site is characterized by vast areas of lawn and an abundance of mature and robust trees that provide natural shade, creating a fresh and inviting atmosphere, especially on sunny days.
Designed for the well-being of its visitors, the garden is equipped with various elements that invite lingering and socializing. Garden benches and tables are available, ideal for a relaxing break. For those who enjoy staying active, there are also some outdoor fitness equipment, designed to be used with one's own body weight. The paving is uniform and non-slip, and the garden also features a drinking water fountain.
At the eastern end of the garden, visitors will find a point of historical interest: a bronze statue paying homage to João Maria Ferreira do Amaral. This sculptural piece, which adds a cultural and memorial touch to the space, was brought from Macau in 1991 and is authored by Maximiliano Alves.
