The Alvito Neighborhood Viewpoint is located in the Lisbon area, on an elevation that offers a distinct perspective on the urban and natural surroundings. Along Estrada Estrangeira, we observe to the right, as we ascend, the entrance to an urbanized area, where a plot of land with particular characteristics is found. It is a large and clean space, of an orange color, which stands out among the surrounding vegetation.

Past and Denomination:

This place, now a viewpoint, once had a different use, serving as a dumping ground. Over time, it was rehabilitated and transformed, becoming the flat and well-maintained space we find today. Although it does not have an official name, its proximity and relationship with the Alvito Neighborhood, formerly known as Bairro Doutor Oliveira Salazar, led to it being popularly nicknamed the Alvito Neighborhood Viewpoint.

From the Alvito Neighborhood Viewpoint, a landscape opens up that captures the essence of the city and the river.
