Dino Parque is located in Abelheira, in the municipality of Lourinhã, and occupies approximately 10 hectares of outdoor area.
It is the largest space of its kind in the country, featuring over 180 life-size models of dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals.
There are several trails representing different eras of Earth's history, including the Paleozoic, Triassic, Jurassic, Cretaceous, Marine Monsters (opened in 2019), and the Cenozoic (Ice Age, opened in 2023).
All replicas follow validated paleontological data, from terrestrial dinosaurs to marine creatures, such as the Helicoprion, featured on the Marine Monsters trail.
The central building houses an exhibition of original fossils and replicas, including bones, dinosaur eggs, and samples of the Torvosaurus, the largest European carnivore.
Visitors can observe live the work of cleaning and studying fossils, accompanied by active paleontologists.
There is an Activity Pavilion, where "Paleontologist for a Day" takes place, and the Paleo Camp, a playful space for children to experience excavations and scientific practices.
The park offers a restaurant, picnic areas with shaded tables, clean restrooms, and free on-site parking.
There is a shop with dinosaur-related items, from toys to books, ideal for taking home a souvenir of your visit.
It is advisable to wear comfortable walking shoes, bring weather-appropriate clothing, and, if possible, purchase tickets online to avoid queues at the entrance.
The concept of "edutainment" ensures that learning about dinosaurs and paleontology is interactive and appealing, for both children and adults.
