Casa do Adro, also called Quinta da Igreja, is located next to the Church of Santa Maria, on Rua Padre António Vieira, in Loures.
It is a monument with historical and architectural value, belonging to the Municipality of Loures.
- Originally expanded in 1824 by a minister of D. João VI.
- Used as a residence for a levite due to its proximity to the Church.
- Purchased in 1956 by Eduardo Brasão, who made reforms and united two houses.
- Acquired by the City Council in 1979, which used it as the Municipal Museum between 1985 and 1998.
- L-shaped structure, with three parts and thirty divisions.
- The oldest core is from the 17th century, with other parts from the 18th and 19th centuries.
- Patio with a water wheel and porch supported by Manueline marble columns.
- Sash windows and a portal with the coat of arms of the Eduardo Brasão family.
