The oratory is located in Largo Ramada Curto, in the eastern part of Lisbon, near Parque das Nações. Erected in a small triangular garden between residential streets, it is slightly elevated by three steps, making it visible to both pedestrians and motorists. The surroundings are marked by pine trees, shrubs, and flowerbeds that introduce a green corner in an area dominated by residential buildings.
Dedicated to Our Lady of Remedies, a Marian invocation associated with protection against illnesses and afflictions, the niche houses an image blessed on July 5, 2000, by Friar Francisco Sales Diniz, a date inscribed on the marble plaque at the base. Since then, it has become a stopping point for quick prayers, thanks, and the placement of flowers by the local community.
The small chapel has a square floor plan in white tiled masonry, with a four-sided roof of reddish ceramic tiles and a metal cross at the top. The glazed front door protects the Marian sculpture and allows it to be admired at all times. Inside, branches of fresh flowers bear witness to the devotion of the faithful.
The low wall surrounding the garden serves as an improvised seat, inviting a pause for reflection or simple observation of the neighborhood's daily life. In July, some residents gather to recite the rosary and decorate the niche with lights and floral arrangements, keeping alive a tradition that reinforces the sense of community.
