The Casapiano Cultural Center is located in Belém, one of Lisbon's most historically and culturally rich areas. Integrated into the complex of the Dina Manique Educational Center, it offers a more serene environment dedicated to cultural exploration, distanced from the hustle and bustle of the most touristy spots, but remaining easily accessible within this emblematic area of the city.
This cultural center was inaugurated in 2000 with the purpose of preserving and disseminating the vast history of Casa Pia de Lisboa, an institution with over two centuries of existence. It serves as a repository of the memory and journey of this organization, highlighting how tradition merges with innovation over time. It is a space that reflects the importance of keeping Casa Pia's identity and heritage alive.
At the Casapiano Cultural Center, visitors will find various spaces designed for sharing knowledge and culture. The venue houses a Museum, where the institution's collection can be explored, and areas dedicated to temporary exhibitions, which bring new perspectives on its legacy. Complementing this offering are a Library and a Historical Archive, crucial for researching and delving deeper into its rich trajectory. An Auditorium is also part of its facilities, hosting events and presentations.
