This garden is located in Praça David Leandro da Silva, within the Poço do Bispo area, in Marvila. It is situated in the heart of a historic area of Lisbon, which played a significant role in industrial activity, particularly related to wine warehouses in the 19th century. The garden occupies the central part of this urban square.
With its triangular shape, this garden invites a pause from the dynamics of the surrounding area. It is a modest, characteristic neighborhood space, offering benches for rest arranged along a central paved path. Side flowerbeds line the path, where shrubs are found and, notably, the prominent presence of three large palm trees that stand out in the garden's green landscape.
A distinctive element of this space is a small building dating back to the early 20th century. This structure, once used as public sanitary facilities, has a unique architecture, marked by a multi-planar roof that may resemble oriental forms and a stone base with truncated angles. Its main highlight are the polychrome tile panels that decorate its facades. Dated 1915 and authored by the painter J. Pinto, these tiles depict daily life scenes and elements, such as a female figure smelling a flower, a bride with a basket of flowers, objects related to the tobacco and newspaper trade, and also coffee utensils, offering an interesting artistic and historical note to those visiting the garden.
