Opened in 1973, the Quadrum Gallery was created by artist Dulce D'Agro and quickly became a reference point for experimental art in Portugal.
It is located in the Coruchéus Ateliers building, in Lisbon.
It was a laboratory of artistic innovation in the 70s and 80s, hosting renowned national and international artists.
Among the Portuguese artists, Ana Hatherly, Ernesto de Sousa, Alberto Carneiro, and Helena Almeida stand out. Among the international artists, names like Vasarely, Karel Appel, and Gina Pane passed through this space.
Until the mid-1990s, it maintained an intense program with exhibitions and participation in international events. In 2010, it became part of the Lisbon Municipal Galleries, under the management of EGEAC since 2015.
It regularly presents temporary exhibitions and events related to contemporary art.
Free entry, open to the public every day with specific hours.
