- Situated on Poça Beach, near the Marginal Avenue, in São João do Estoril, Cascais.
- Built during the Restoration of Independence (1642-1643) to protect the coast from the Tower of Belém to Cabo da Roca.
- Part of a line of maritime defense against possible enemy landings.
- Named in honor of Prince D. Teodósio, Duke of Bragança.
- Quadrangular structure divided into two spaces: battery facing the sea and accommodations with a terrace and parapet for rifle fire.
- Includes three central dependencies and a courtyard that provides access to the barracks and the powder magazine.
- Originally protected by trenches, reinforced in the 17th century.
- In the 18th century, three watchtowers were added.
- Used in 1805 to house troops during cholera outbreaks.
- Restored in 1831 during the Portuguese Civil War.
- Donated to the Santa Casa da Misericórdia of Cascais in 1843.
- Parapets demolished in 1942 due to the construction of the Marginal Road.
- Handed over to the Tax Guard and then to the Cascais City Council in 2003.
- In 2023, it was in ruins, despite previous plans for redevelopment.
- Classified as a Property of Public Interest in 1977.
