This space is situated in the Jamor area, in Oeiras, a zone recognized for its outdoor environment. It is located in Praça da Maratona (Marathon Square), within a part of the Jamor urbanization that belongs to the locality of Algés, Linda-a-Velha, and Cruz Quebrada-Dafundo. Its position is integrated into a setting that invites lingering and enjoying nature, serving as a stopping point within a vast complex.

Design and Materials:

With an approximate area of 1,500 square meters, this site was designed with notable attention to materials and sustainability. The nine playful equipment pieces are mostly constructed from alpine larch wood, maintaining their natural color, and steel. This choice of materials grants them remarkable resistance and eliminates the need for chemical treatments that could be harmful to the environment or users, highlighting the concern for durability and safety.

Playful Experience and Development:

The set of equipment present was designed to provide a rich and diverse play experience, aimed at children and young people aged 3 to 14. The space actively encourages movement, agility, and socialization. Among the available elements are a nest-type swing, a sand snake, a play construction site with a slide, a house on stilts, seesaws, and a dwarf hill, in addition to combinations of towers interconnected by nets and bridges. These components stimulate physical development and creativity through play.

Natural Setting and Amenities:

The natural surroundings of the space were carefully enhanced to offer a pleasant environment for visitors. Maintenance and renovation work was carried out on the existing vegetation, with the planting of new trees and shrubs, such as the box elder (Acer negundo), which contribute to a cooler and shadier environment. Additionally, the site is equipped with supporting urban furniture, including benches for rest, a drinking fountain, and litter bins, ensuring a comfortable and functional stay for visitors.
