From Fortress to Art:

The old Citadel Fortress of Cascais underwent a significant transformation, gaining a new cultural purpose. It is within this historic and rehabilitated setting that the Cidadela Art District developed. The project integrated into the existing structure of the fortress, converting it into a space dedicated to art and creation, preserving the site's memory while opening it to new artistic expressions.

Art and Creation Spaces:

Inside the Cidadela Art District, visitors will find multiple spaces dedicated to art. These include exhibition galleries and a space designated as the "Project Room," dedicated to presenting artworks and artistic projects. Furthermore, there are studios where artists work on-site, offering the possibility to observe the creation process in situ across various disciplines.
