It is located in the village of Cachimbos, within the Cemitério do Salvador (Salvador Cemetery), in the municipality of Sobral de Monte Agraço.

Oldest Element

Only the portal is original and dates back to the 14th century, in Gothic style. It is the most striking part of the primitive construction.

Restructuring

The remaining structure of the chapel was rebuilt later, not maintaining the original medieval design in its entirety.

Current Function

This chapel is currently used as the cemetery's mortuary chapel.

Although modest, it is an example of how architectural remnants from the medieval period have been preserved and integrated into spaces of current use.
